Peter Finn Obituary

I cannot even begin to measure how much I loved this man. Although we have not seen each other in 10 or so years, we both know we have over 60 years of memories. Rest, my friend, rest.

I knew Pete when we worked for Academy School 20. Pete was a hard worker and good friend.

Sending love to the family. Many memories of growing up with Shannon and the Finn family.

If we judge a man's worth to his fellow men by how he helps forget your problems, his willingness to help ease burdens with a joke, how he makes you laugh, how time goes by too fast when your with him, how you will miss his smile when he is gone, Pete...a blessing to all who knew him. Prayers and good thoughts to Kathy and his family.

Pete was such a sweet man with a smile that could light up the world. Kathy, I hope a lifetime of memories of your life together will ease some of the pain you and your family are feeling today.

I was saddened to hear about Pete's passing, and want to pass along my sincerest condolences to Kathy, Shannon, Bart, and family. I met Pete through my brother Jerry many years ago, and I remember the fun times we shared in Pete's garage learning a bit about the trade of metal welding. A smile comes to my face when I think about those fun and carefree times, and the warm hospitality and generous spirit that Pete and Kathy welcomed my brother and I into their house on numerous occasions. I am sadden in one respect, and grateful to have met such a kind and wonderful spirit. With deepest sympathy, fondest memories, and a smile, Pete's spirit lives on. --George Panek

All our love and thoughts are with Kathy, Shannon, Bart, and all of Pete's grandkids at this time. We lost Pete's sister-in-law to cancer a few years ago and know what it feels like to live through that process. We are only on this earth for a short time though so our grief is mixed with relief that any suffering is over and with joyous memories of a full and happy life. I will always remember fondly our too brief summer visits with the Finns while growing up: road-trip mayhem in Colorado, Washington, and Canada; Fourth of July fireworks parties; family dinners with generations of Finns and Springers laughing and just generally being silly; and the out-of-control badminton games with the dogs barking and tripping under our feet. Such a sad day for all of us hearing about Petes passing.
He was truly on of the Good Guys! And the love he and Kathy shared was a True Love Story that began as high school seeethearts and endured these many years~
A highlight of our 50th Class Reunion was having Pete and Kathy there!
Pete departs this life as a deeply loved soul, and we are all the better for having known him~

Was so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. It was so fun to see Pete and Kathy and St Mary's 50th reunion last summer. They were both so full of life and happiness and as always their love for each other was obvious. I will continue to pray for you, Kathy and for your family as you go through this very difficult loss. May the grace of God our Father and our Lord Jesus be with all of you.

We send prayers that our Lord will grant peace to Kathy and their family who so lovingly took care of Pete in his hour of need.
We will always remember our 50th reunion, reminiscing with Pete and Kathy, who lit up the room still when they entered, just as they did at high school events. Rest well, Pete in your fathers arms. You will always be in our hearts.

Was so saddened to hear about Pete. My prayers for Kathy and her family as they travel this road of loss. Although you know he is in the arms of Jesus, it doesn't diminish the emptiness left by him not being with you. I will lift you up daily in prayer.

Am sad to learn of Pete's passing. We attended Corpus Christi together & then St. Mary's. Lots of shared memories growing up. It was so much fun to get to spend time at our 50th high school reunion last summer remembering the funny stories. What a great sense of humor! A truly loving, caring family man. Keeping Pete, Kathy, the kids & grandkids in my thoughts & prayers. With my deepest sympathy to the family & friends who knew & loved Pete. He will be deeply missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Pete's beautiful wife Kathy and their children and family. I worked with Pete at pine valley elementary school and once my husband and I moved I always talked with Pete on phone. He was a great guy. Loved hearing all his stories. Talked to him not to long ago. We had a good laugh. RIP friend...

I am saddened by the passing of Pete Finn. We went to 4 years of grade school and 4 years of high school together. He always seemed so happy and smiled a lot. He will be missed by many. My prayers go out to you Kathy and the rest of his family.
