Peter, an insightful and intelligent counselor, who always got his point across with a measure of humor. Thanks for always having this country boys back. GOD bless you.

I had the pleasure of both meeting and seeing you from time to time over the last 8 years. Thank you for the great conversations and you are a great man! You will be missed. Rest in Peace, my friend! Boston Ron.

Peter you were a true source of inspiration and I will never forget attending my first board meeting of the Colorado Pork Producers Council and you smashing the tape recorder of someone certain fellow at the meeting trying to undermine the cause. Still can't think about it without a chuckle. You had great courage and love for life. So glad to be able to call you my friend for all eternity.

We spent a few days at the Broadmoor at the beginning of this month, so naturally we reminisced about Peter and his time in Yuma so many years ago. We always thought we'd try to reach him sometime when we were close by. What a shock to open the Yuma Pioneer this afternoon and discover that he is gone. We're sending sincere condolences to all of Peter's family. He will not be forgotten.

As fellow residents of the Broadmoor Resort Community we mourn the loss of an incredible neighbor. Peter's unbelievable gifts, talents and great love for his family, friends, community and church will surely be missed by us all. How grateful we are to have known him for these past eighteen years. Our hearts and prayers go out to JoAnn, the daughters Jill and Katie and their families at this time of great loss and sorrow.

Peter is the best friend a person could have. Loyal, protective, yet unforgiving. . but in the end, forgave you anyway. Karen and I want to express our condolences to JoAnn and his two daughters who he adored. Wish I could be there tomorrow, but I just found out tonight.

Peter was a people person, full of life. His humor will be missed. Our sympathy to the family...Rest in Peace our friend.

Peter had a huge heart for Lehigh hockey and was an inspirational teammate and coach. He'll be sorely missed by those of us who had the privilege to know him.

Pete brought great intensity to the moment. He always reached further. Tried harder and made it fun. Breaks my heart to see such a great man gone.

I am so sorry to hear about Peter's passing. He was a wonderful man. He was so genuine and kind. He will be missed. My heart goes out to his family.

Peter - I still have your skates, which I will never be able to fill. A great friend and confidant. What a trip...Lehigh, met Chris at your wedding, skiing, kids weddings and... oh, I will really miss you. My heart goes out to your family, who I am sure will miss you too.

Sorry to hear. Had many great days of hunting and talking pigs in Yuma! He was the head start of the pig business in Yuma. Will be missed dearly!

Learning how to ski from you, skiing with you and your daughters at Vail, playing hockey with you in high school, and against you in college, that day at A-Basin when you told me how proud of me that you were that first day on the slopes at Camelback, 50 years ago this month - just a few of the things that I'll never forget. If there was someone who I presumed would be tough enough, witty, smart and existential to jump over mortality it would be Peter Gadkowski.....If i could recall someone who would be more alive and in the moment whether we were passing the puck back and forth on the point or filming an artistic student movie I could always count on Peter to be technically adept .. I attempted the impossible on the ice, he didn't. He did it right. I resorted to somewhat lazy creative whining in the filming , he didn't. He kept the big picture in focus. He was the rock. He corrected the gestalt without rancor. And he was a lot of fun to be around. It was always an adventure of good will. Saddened and appalled death has taken one of the best guys.
