Peter Moody Obituary
Dr. Moody was born in Evanston, IL, on September 29, 1943. He attended Harvard University Undergrad and received his Medical Degree from Case Western Reserve University. He was Board Certified in Pulmonary and Internal Medicine. He practiced in Genesee County for many years, retiring in 2018. He truly loved the practice of medicine but loved his patients even more.
He was an avid reader, quoting many authors and often mentioning the desire to organize a book club to discuss his love of books with others. Unfortunately, he did not get the chance to write his own book, which to all who knew him would have been titled "My Doctors". The word "doctor" is derived from the Latin verb "docere", meaning to teach, and he wanted to write about all that his patients had taught him throughout his years of practice.
His office staff was like his family, he was generous, kind, and caring to them. Dr. Moody's bright shining light will be dearly missed by all.
Special thanks to his caring Hospice nurse Felicia, and nurse aid Nicki and all those who cared for him at Cranberry. Also, love to Sandy and Brad for all the years of caring and attention given to Doc.

Dr. Peter Moody´s life and legacy live on through the countless patients and families he cared for with brilliance, compassion, and unwavering dedication. His love of medicine was evident in every moment-he was not only an exceptional physician, but truly one of the finest pulmonary doctors of his time. As a kid, I remember sitting in his office, reading his children´s books and eating Long John Silver (next door). I loved Dr. Moody's office and he had the best candy dish!!!!
I am especially grateful to Dr. Moody for the extraordinary care he gave my father Gordon Gragg. Through his knowledge, persistence, and genuine concern, he extended my father´s life for many meaningful years-years our family will always cherish. That gift can never be measured or forgotten.
Dr. Moody was more than a doctor; he was a healer, a comforter, and a steady presence in moments when it mattered most. His impact will forever be remembered, and his legacy will continue to live on in the lives he changed.
