I wish to express my deepest sympathies to Phillip's family. He was one of my Uncle Gilbert's ('Boogie') best friends. Growing up in Alamosa, our parents, grandparents and uncles/aunts passed on to us the beauty of endearing and lasting friendships. There was no such thing as 'one' best friend...we were all 'best friends.' I was so blessed to have grown up in Alamosa with Phillip, my Uncle Gilbert 'Boogie' and all of their very best friends. They helped pass on the values which Phillip lived his life by. I will keep the memory of Phillip's warmth, his gleaming and cheerful eyes in my heart. Most of all, I will remember him as a part of what made our hometown, Alamosa the nurturing, friendly, and great community which created the beautiful memories I hold close to my heart and those which made us all such wonderful friends! We have lost a beautiful member of our community, however, his spirit will live on in all who knew him. Also, Mark and Brian don't forget that the doors to my Mom's home (Teresita) are always open for you as they were when you were little boys! Stop by for some of that lovely nurturing that your father, Phillip shared throughout his life.

My beloved friend of over 20 years or so introduced me to Phil and I found him to be an extremely caring man! I grew to love him in no time at all! He often said I was a member of the family and I so enjoyed when I and my son came by. Due to my vehicle's unsafe condition, I could not go to see him at the hospital. For me this was heart breaking! Every time I called Alice, I always said " give him my love and hug him for me" and always said "
to make sure he got my hug and knew I sent it"! Before he became so very ill and could not talk to me. Phil would get on and tell me "to come there"! Due to my health I raely went any where, my son hd to always drive me. When my vehicle was in the dangerous state , which it has been , for awhile! I was so sorrowful I could not go see and hug him! Now , he is gone! What a caring, gentle Giant among men. Others may be stronger and more noticed by strangers. Phil was a real Angel on earth! Not many can be called that!
I wish the grief of the pain of Phil's could mend for those , who loved and admired him. To Alice and Phil's family and beloved friends. God Bless you each and I am certain. Phil is where love and no suffering now!
LOve and hugs, Barbara and son, Joseph.

I met Phil when we worked together in the Automobile profession. Phil wass a very giving individual and was a mentor for me. He was a good friend and was always very thoughtful in his interactions with others and seemed to always put others interests before his own. He was very generous with his advice and would assist anyone in need . He will be missed and my condolences go out to his family and his beloved friend Alice, thank you for caring for him. Phil I will miss you Bro, and I will always hold you in my heart you were very inspirational to me tu amigo Leonard Aldaz

I met Phillip through the Romero family of Alamosa, CO. A couple of times he accompanied us to Air Force football games. He was fun to be with and quite generous. A few times I assisted him as I worked with the CO Dept of Labor and Employment. He was more than congenial and friendly with me. I really liked his nickname and I shall never forget it. Rest in Peace "Twilight" you will be missed but not forgotten! - Al Cordova Colorado Springs, CO
