Phillip Duncan Obituary

Duncan
PHILLIP STEVEN DUNCAN
June 20, 1971 September 19, 2018
Phillip Steven Duncan passed away in Amarillo TX. He is survived by his children, Jordan T. Rowland, Raymond W.C. Duncan, Steven M.R. Duncan, Jessica Mayle, Greg Mayle, Kaitlin Mayle, and Andrew Mayle; his wife, Jean Hutchison; his father, Bob Duncan, his brothers, Robert P. Duncan, Christopher B. Duncan and Charles M. Duncan. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Ann Duncan.
Phillip was born in Landstuhl, Germany and
lived in Clovis, New Mexico before his father retired in Colorado Springs. Phillip graduated from Roy J. Wasson High School in 1989. He was in the Marine Corp. before he suffered an injury that shortened his time of service.
He was a loving, kind, friendly and complex soul. From a young age, he battled depression associated with a mental condition. He was an intelligent young man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Phillip had a gift for helping others with advice and guidance to help them through hard times. He at times struggled to apply the same wisdom he gave to others, in his own struggles and challenges.
Phillip was a proud and loving father, who adored his children and the light they brought into his world. His battles with the struggles and challenges in this life's journey could always be calmed and put into perspective by the love he had for his children.
Many people knew Phillip as "Blue" a Doorman who worked at many local bars and night clubs over many years here in C/S. Phillip worked as a self employed security consultant. He was also an exceptional farmer who loved to grow and harvest his crops for all to enjoy.
The family will have a private ceremony for Phillip Steven Duncan AKA "Blue" followed by a public "Celebration of Life" at Oscars Oyster Bar on Tejon Street on October 13th from 6:00 pm, till 10:00 pm.
