PHILLIP WILLIAM HOWARD

Phillip William Howard, 60, passed away unexpectedly due to heart failure on November 16, 2018. Phillip was a Colorado Springs native and was the Facilities Optimization Manger for El Paso County.
Phillip was born on October 16, 1958 to Wayne Howard and Deloris (Christensen) Howard.
Phil loved being home and on days off he was usually out in his workshop in the barn with a football game on (Broncos fan) working on a wide range of endless projects with his horse, Jay, getting in the way. Phil had a great compassion for animals, and also enjoyed fishing. Phil was very dedicated to his family and his work.
Phil is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Judie; his mother, Deloris; his brother, Mike; sister-in-law, Gerry; uncle, Chris Christensen; aunt, Audrey; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne, and his sister, Dana.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 28, at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
The loss of Phil will be felt by many.

So sorry to hear of Phil's passing. Please keep in touch if you need anything. I have so many fond memories of my childhood growing up with Phil. It's a wonder we even made it past 18. He will certainly be missed.

My wife and I have had the honor of knowing Phil and Judie Howard for close to 25 years.I have had the pleasure of working with Phil since he started at El Paso County. I saw a man who was very serious about and extremely good at his job and strived for perfection, he also would do anything for you and he always had time for humor.
I will always respect his work ethic, his drive and his wicked since of humor. I will also miss going toe to toe with him to see who could out do the other at messing with each other.
He won more times than I did for the record.
