Oh Bob, what can I say...my heart is so very heavy! Thank you sir for having such a profound and indelible influence on my life. Yourself and Jan were the very reason I pursue artistic and creative endeavors to this day. I always looked up to you with upmost admiration. You had a way with very little words that had such profound meaning when spoken, your presence was both gently reserved and kindly commanding . I was in the last days of my seventeenth year in this world, when I was welcomed to the Simpich Character Doll Family, and by far, it was the the most meaningful and memorable 9 years in all of my working career. Although you may not have known it, you shaped and molded me from a child into a man, much like the very figurines you modeled day to day. I am forever and eternally grateful for your impact on this world, especially that in which I was apart of. You were the Mentor and Grandfather I never had. May you go to - and be with your beloved Janice once more...Thank you so very much...you were truly beloved by many and will be missed immensely!
Most sincerely,
Leif Kosatschkow

I only new him by his art and that was the best way to know him. A true artist. Also to the unknown writer of his obituary, your grace and artistic ability with words is equally an artwork.
