Phyllis Kaufman Obituary
Phyllis Kaufman went to be with her Lord and Savior November 26, 2008 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She was born January 15, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA to Phillip and Marjorie Palmer. Phyllis married John Kaufman on July 19, 1947 and they had 3 children: John Kaufman (MaryAnn), Meg Wagner (Rich) and Wayne Kaufman (Paula) all of Colorado Springs. She is survived by her husband John, their 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 23 great grand-children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 sisters, Marjorie and Patsy, her brother Phillip and her grandson Paul Fischer. Phyllis retired in 1992 from The Colorado Springs Medical Center, where she spent 20 years as a telephone operator. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family and friends, including Betty Carberry. A Celebration of Life Service is planned for 11am, Friday December 5, 2008 at Northeast Bible Chapel, 1722 MacArthur Street, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Pikes Peak Hospice or Northeast Bible Chapel.

Grandma,
There are no words to express the way I feel about not having you here. I am blessed to have such a wonderful and caring Grandma. I could not ask for a better relationship with you. I still have the picture of me when I was two holding a doll that you gave me. I will miss you forever and a day. Phyllis or as I knew you, as mom Kaufman,
You were a special lady to me and from the day we first met, you showed me a kind of love and tenderness that only you were special for and I always held that inside my heart for you. Your hugs and smiles are also cherished memories I loved about you and the relationship we had. I know i was blessed to have had you in my life and to be part of the Kaufman family.
