Phyllis Peet Obituary

Phyllis was born in Wellington, New Zealand. She lived there until the end of WWII when she and her husband, a US Marine George Edward Peet, moved to Iowa Falls, Iowas and then to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1954. Phyllis had three children: Rata Clarke (Michael Bailey), Georgia Matteson (Charlie), Robert Peet (Deceased), and surrogate son, Terry Mohan. Her lovely grandchildren: Paul Matteson (Jim), Shelle Clarke, Chad Matteson, Chet Klingensmith (Claire Hart), Ian Matteson (Joy), Alana Bailey, Haley Matteson Sydney Matteson, Callie Matteson, Nellie Matteson. Her grandchildren loved her dearly. She packed lunches for them, drove them to soccer games and track events and was always there for them in her lime green VW bug. Her adorable great grandchildren: Natalia Matteson, Christina Matteson, Madeleine Hart, Lila Hart. Phyllis loved and wanted to thank her Caregiver Kippy Bills and all the excellent staff at the Bon Safeway who always loved and cared for her. A private memorial will be scheduled later.
