Wanted to share our most recent picture of mom taken last week. She really looked forward to the cookies we brought every week.

I loved Aunt Phyllis! She was good natured, calm, and independent in a quiet way. She was one of the rare family members with the same wheat and hazel eye color and yellowed tinted skin as mine - a Leasure trait through the Boden line. She modeled strength by her duty and also by her freedom of choice later in life. She had a fun loving side and an easy laugh. I'm glad I got to see her at various times in her travels and mine. Eternal peace.

Mom...you were so much more than a mother-in-law to me...more like a mother. I will never forget all of the amazing times we had together. It was you who came with me to pick out my wedding dress when I married your son. It was you who flew out to California with me when my dad passed away. It was you who drove back home with me in his car and nicknamed our adventure "Thelma & Louise". It was you who went on a Caribbean cruise with me when I turned 50 - a first for us both. There is so much more...I could go on and on. It was you who never had a cross word, loved us unconditionally. I love you with all my heart mom and will miss you forever.

My Mom was a great mother, wife and role model. Donna and I will miss her dearly. Always smiling with a kind word with whom she met. She will be dearly missed by our entire family.
