Rachel Craig Memoriam

Craig
Rachel Leigh Craig
September 28, 1984 - April 24, 2018
Rachel passed at her home after a lengthy battle with anorexia. She is now living abundantly and perfectly with Jesus Christ.
Born to Gary and Linda Craig in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 28, 1984, she has one younger sister, Anna. Rachel graduated from Pine Creek HS in 2003, and earned a B.A. in English and M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from UCCS.
She had a natural wit and quirky humor. Her knack for the English language drove her affinity for puns and ability to solve the newspaper "Jumble" in under 10 seconds. She constantly read non-fiction, from How-to's to Scripture. Deemed the family editor, anything we wrote came out looking 10 times better. With a wonder for God's creation in nature, she enjoyed exploring outdoors, never too hurried to stop and watch a hummingbird or observe a flower. Grace and love abounded from her for those who struggled, stating that people were just looking for ways to "be ok." She challenged herself to see individuals through Christ's eyes; absolutely the kindest person we have ever known.
Private services will be held in Lubbock, Texas. Anyone wishing to honor Rachel's memory may donate to Thru the Bible, a global ministry; ttb.org/donate

Rachel was the kindest lady and never without a big smile. Good bye sweet lady. You will be forever missed.

I often saw Rachel at the library, and she was always so kind and friendly. She had a beautiful smile and a sweet disposition. It broke my heart to learn of her passing. I had recently seen her and remember praying for her. I hope that God is comforting you in this difficult time and that you may find some peace knowing that Rachel is free and you will see her again.

I just learned of Rachel's passing. I worked with her at Rampart, and remember her fondly. She was kind and gracious. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I worked with Rachel at District 20. She was beautiful, intelligent, fun, and extremely kind. Students loved her! I don't ever remember a cross word from her. She was a bright spot in my day. I am heartbroken, but I also know I will see her again when I go to be with our Lord. I'll be praying for comfort and peace for her family and friends.

I will miss her smile at the gym every morning. I won't forget; every morning around 6:30AM, I'll look around the gym hoping to see her. May she rest in peace.
