Ralph Wilson Fiske III, of Security, Colorado, died on November 21, 2021, at the age of 72.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, of 48 years. He leaves behind his daughter, Heather Ortega, with two grandchildren Joshua and Jordan, his son, Dustin Fiske, and daughter-in-law, Edie. He also leaves his sisters Susan L. Fiske and Sandra L. (David) McGannon, and several nieces and nephews. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph W. Fiske Jr. and W. Martha Fiske.
Ralph was born on April 20,1949 in Providence, Rhode Island. His family relocated to El Segundo, California when Ralph was six years old. Ralph graduated from El Segundo High School, maintaining life-long friendships with a few of his classmates, and went on to join the U.S. Air Force. He completed one four-year tour in Vietnam and then was stationed at North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex. Ralph retired from the Air Force in 1992 and later worked in the Power Plant at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs until his retirement in 2017. Ralph enjoyed working with electronics and spending time outdoors walking trails. His family and friends will miss his unique personality and quick-witted sense of humor.
A celebration of Ralph's life will later be held by the family in Calhan, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, anyone compelled may please donate to Wounded Warrior Project.

The Buckley SFB military Retiree Activities Office (RAO) would like to offer our sincere condolences and our gratitude for Mr. Fiske's service to our country in the Air Force. If you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley SFB at 720-847-6693. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
