Randy,

You are the brother of my heart even if we were seperated by time and space.

The things you taught me are still with me today. I think of you often and wish we hadn't lost track of each other. Your influence is felt in so many ways.

Beth, it was nice speaking with you. Thank you for letting me know and not just tossing my letter. In just the few minutes we spoke I know that you gave him all the joy and love he always deserved in this life time.

Shirley, Dan, I doubt if you remember a girl from the past, that wasn't there to long before she went away, but I wanted to express my sympathies to you. I remember the times we spent together.

May God keep you in his arms. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Again My deepest sympathies.

Love Mary (Crabtree) Hodges

Randy

It's hard to describe how much of an impact you've had in my life. You've always been a great friend and mentor (Even when you where chasing me with snakes). I know your with your dad, sister and friends like Frank and Bubba. Tell them all hi for me.

We'll see each other again when the lord decides my work is done. Until then I'll think of you whenever I get to the woods, the fishing hole or harass my co-workers. Live in peace with god. Everyone on this side will be with you soon. Love and miss you my Friend

Dear Randy,

Although we had just met a few months ago, it was a pleasure to call you my cousin. You treasured Beth as did she you. You had a wonderful life together. You were a wonderful husband, father, friend, and cousin. May you rest in peace.

Randy,

You are an amazing person. You were a great neighbor to us. Craig could come over and ask any question, borrow a tool, or just shoot the breeze. That was fine with you. You built a beautiful birdhouse for Beth. She has always shown off whatever you did/built for her. She loves you a bunch! What a sweet guy you are! We are going to miss you! But we will see you eventually in eternity! Praise God!

Beth,

We pray God's arms around you in this time of loss. You and Randy have been a great couple. You have done adventurous things, raised a family together, made improvements on the house, shared those birds, and been great neighbors! I know you loved each other. It showed!

Heather,

It has been great seeing you grow up into this cool grown up person. I know you love your dad. I know he is proud of you. That will always be.

Continue to do great things. He will enjoy them also. This life on earth is only the beginning of life. God bless you and comfort you in your loss.

Words could never begin to tell you all how sorry I am for the passing of your Husband, Father and Best Friend. Maybe this will help...

...When somebody dies, a cloud turns into an angel, and flies up to tell God to put another flower on a pillow.

A bird gives the message back to

the world, and sings a silent prayer

that makes the rain cry. People

disappear, but they never really go away. The spirits up there put

the sun to bed, wake up the grass,

and spin the earth in dizzy circles.

Sometimes you can see them dancing in a cloud during the daytime, when they're supposed to be sleeping.

They paint the rainbows and also the sunsets and make waves splash and tug at the tide. They toss shooting stars and listen to wishes.

And when they sing windsongs, they whisper to us, don't miss me too much. The view is nice

and I'm doing just fine.

I think Randy would tell you all...The view is beautiful, The fishing is the Best..... and you would never believe the sunset....

I may of went with the sunset there but I'm on the Sunrise here...don't miss me to much I will be with you again. As you continue to hunt and fish I'll give your line a tug now and again...

I know this wont ease your pain but I want you to know... I'm here when you need to chat and you are in my prayers always....

Randy partook of one of the purest forms of human happiness: hunting in the quiet beauty of nature. His spirit will accompany his wife, Beth, as she continues the hunt.
