Raymond Ellsworth Obituary

Raymond A. Ellsworth, 61, departed this world for new hunting grounds on February 25, 2015. Ray known to many as Juny, Jr. Rambo, Uncle, Junbug, Dad, Grandpa, Dad, Bubba. lived his life on his terms. As a 4th generation Colorado native, he was well known in the Pikes Peak Region. Founder of the PAGW (People Against Game Wardens), Jr loved to hunt and fish. Also known to many for his skills as a wildlife Population Control Specialist, he spend many days and nights with his friends doing all the things he loved to including playing pool for the High Country Pool League, working on engines, welding all night or just hanging out drinking beer.

Ray was an original person always in flannel (no matter how hot) or hunter orange, He would help anyone who was stuck, broke down or stopped on the highway. He treated anyone he met as part of the family.

Jr enjoyed 4-wheeling (where no one in their right mind would go). And he would always say "I'll bet ya", "we can make it" and "I guarantee it". Ray had many talents that he used in his various careers - everything from being a mechanic, a plumber, a welder to a Ranch foreman at Schuberts Sod Farm.

He is survived by 4 children - daughters Lena (Steve) Baird, Polly (Scott) Miller; sons Aaron and Bobby Ellsworth also Bobby's mother Sue Ellsworth. 2 brothers Rick (Linda), Ron; sister Rox (Ron) Anderson. Also numerous grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.

The family would like to invite everyone to a Celebration of Life open house at Mountain Springs Church, located at 7345 Adventure Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80923on Saturday March 7, 2015 from 11am to 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a non-profit of your choice.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Such a dedicated person to everyone ont the race track:) We have lost a person here on earth, but he is helping everyone in his new Journey! I remember his smile or his little grin as he walked by our pit. :) Thank You for always being there for all. You are truly and Angel! God Speed with that Checkered Flag. Take care .. with all our love from the #6 Racing team. Will miss you!
