Raymond Geist Obituary

Raymond Geist July 17, 1918 - October 3, 2007. On October 3, 2007 God opened the doors of heaven and called Raymond Geist Sr. to come Home. Ray was born 7-17-1918 in Kit Carson Colorado. He loved Colorado and always called it home although the last years he shared Colorado with Mesa, Arizona and traveled as much as possible in his motor home. He was ordained into the Nazarene Church in 1948 and was a pastor at several churches during his lifetime. After retiring from the ministry he worked at Transit Mix and Mobile Mix for about 20 years. He was always so proud to say "see that House, I poured that foundation!" Ray loved Pikes Peak and whenever looking for a place to live, the main criteria was a view of the mountain. He loved to camp and hunt with his family and friends. Those were some of the memories he loved to share with others. He had a great sense of humor and could always remember a good joke or story to share. Ray loved the Lord and lived his life knowing that he would someday spend eternity with his Creator and daily prayed for his family and friends. Ray shared 66 1/2 years with his loyal and faithful wife and best friend, Ruth Geist. They have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Trinity Nazarene Church, 5055 El Camino Drive, on Tuesday, Oct 9 at 11 AM. Viewing to be at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 N Cascade Avenue, on Monday, October 8 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens following the service. In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund will be set up at Trinity Nazarene Church.
