Raymond C Torres, 71, departed Colorado Springs and went to be with the Lord on November 9th, 2021. Raymond was delivered into this world on August 29th, 1950 in Odem, Texas to Evaristo Torres and Dominga Coronado. He went on to marry the love of his life, Maria Flores in 1982 in Colorado Springs where he lived for 40 years. Raymond also resided in Texas.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He loved to crack jokes, watch football, work on cars, gamble in the casino and visit Cripple Creek, and most of all, spend time with his family. Raymond was also a member of Labors Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Dominga Torres; and his wife, Maria Montoya; brothers, Domingo Torres, Evaristo Torres Jr., and Leon Torres; sisters, Senida Moreno and Adelida Flores; and grandson Martin Sanchez Jr.
He lives on in memory in the hearts and minds of his brother, Joe (Delilah)Torres of Denver, Colorado; sister, Janie Cortez of Colorado Springs; son, Edurado (Dawn) Montoya Jr. of Colorado Springs; daughters, Gloria Calderon, Connie Chulin Cabrera, and Josephine (Dave) Montoya of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Chrystal (Geronimo) Olvera, Angel Sanchez-Montoya, Ramon Montoya, Ashley Montoya, Miguel (Britney) Sanchez Montoya, Vincent Gomez, Enrique Chulin-Montoya, Lauren Gomez, Andrea Chulin-Montoya, Lovisa Montoya, and Eduardo Montoya III; and great grandchildren, Romeo Martinez, Lihly-anna Sanchez, Christian Olvera, Elias Webb, Alissa Olvera, Cayden Martinez, Santiago Olvera, Ariella Sanchez, and Annalycia Flores.
The Visitation will be held on November 29, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory located at 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. The Service will be held on November 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church located at 1830 S. Corona Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80905 followed by Interment at Evergreen Cemetery located at 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
He will be dearly missed.
