Dear Bob & Marion
Christine called me to let me know of the passing of Reid. I want you to know that my heart is heavier because he is gone but lightened in knowing we will all meet him again. It looks like he grew to be a fine young man and an example to all those who knew him. I want you to know that my thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Hunt Family,
We talked to Bro. Bob just a couple weeks ago. He was so proud of each of his children and of Marion. He spoke of their accomplishments and success'. He updated us on who was married, where each of you lived and your careers.
Now that Reid has beeen called home from his Earthly Mission, we would love to know how many people were touched by his testimony, love, friendship and humor. We know that he must have touched many lives. We are so proud to know the Hunt Family. We miss you and offer our most sincere condolences at the untimely loss of your son. May our Heavenly Father bless you and give you peace and comfort. We love you and the memories we have with you on Spartan Dr.

Dear Bob, Marian, and family,
I just learned of Reid's death. You may not remember, but Reid and my son, Bryan, use to play together when we all lived on Spartan Dr. Although we now live in different places, we still love you and remember alot of good times as neighbors. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Hunt Family,
I hope you'll all find comfort in knowing that Reid isn't lost, but rather, he is residing in Paradise and is with Our Heavenly Father.
He will always be in yours and our memories, and yours and our hearts until the great day of Reunion.
I wanted to let you know that Reids work isn't finished by any means.
Reid was our "Rocket" sent, and set off from this launch pad by Unseen Hands.
His sparkling, bubbly personality, his love of life, his zest for living, and getting and doing his best, despite any and/or all obstacles, remain an active working force Here at CSDB.
Death can not stop what Unseen Hands created in and through Reid.
His spirit is stronger than the force that snatched him away. Reids' spirit lives for all eternity in a far grandeur place than here.
All that made Reid who he was, couldn't help but influence and infect everyone close to him with his unique, God-given personality.
Reid chose to overcome what some/many consider to be a disability.
The last I saw Reid, he was dashing towards the Admin. Building. He had an anxious look upon his face. Not a nervous, "Oh no!" expression, but rather, an expectant kind of happy anxious look.
His glasses perched on his nose, a twinkle in his eyes, and his hair blown back.
A half grin on his face with rosy, red cheeks and nose from the cold winter air.
His long legs stretched in a run, his jacket open and the tail rose up behind him, flapping, slapping in the cold crisp breeze of his own making.
In my minds-eye, I still see him making that same dash.
That's how I will always see him --
-- and I smile.
"...and the Peace of God, which passes all understandings, will guard your Hearts and Minds through Christ Jesus, and God will keep all in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Him."
My prayer For Everyone for the Hunt Family.
God Blessings and Comfort,
Ms.Dawn Willett C.S.D.B.

Dear Hunt Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about Reid. My family and I always felt such a special connection to your family growing up. I remember catching up with Reid often in the halls throughout our school years and talking on our way to class (because we could) he was always so happy and positive with a contagious smile (just like Adam's). He was doing amazing things then and it sounds like he went on to do much more. You must be very proud. He was truly a role model to his hearing and deaf peers. My heart goes out to you.

To my dear, dear family~
I hope you get this message, I've been out of the country for a few days and just heard the news this morning. Reid was such an amazing person, I am in awe of him and everyone in your immediate family. The faith, love, kindness and willingness to help others that you all project is overwhelming. I am very proud of Reid's successes and accomplishments in life. My favorite memory, was playing Simon with Reid when he was just a little boy at Christmas. It was fun helping him learn which button was next.
I'm sure he was happy to see Aunt Ora again as she welcomed him to heaven. I love you very much and I'm sorry I wasn't able to come to his funeral. God Bless all of you!!

To Reid's climbing partner:
We think of you often and our hearts go out to you. We still struggle with the loss of our very close friend in an accident some years ago and know some of what you are likely going through; you obviously loved your friend very much. We admire your courage and hope you continue climbing, that Reid's spirit of adventure and zest for life that clearly touched so many people shine through you.

Hunt Family,
I was on a ski lift in CO. when my mom called and told me of Reid's passing. My heart broke that moment. I got off the ski lift with my kids and we said a prayer, a prayer for your family. If anyone has the strength and faith to get through this trial it is your amazing family. I remember taking Reid to an Alta dance. I went to the store and bought a note pad. Reid thought that was so funny. He giggled so hard and I laughed and ripped up the stupid notebook and had the best date of my life. Your son is a wonderful man. I am honored and blessed to have had him be such a great friend and teacher. Please know your family is close in heart and thought during this difficult time. My prayer is that the fond and tender memories will sustain you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Reid. I remember him from highschool government and at USU- he and his friends looked like they were having so much fun at lunch at the student center. There are never enough words to truly comfort those left behind. I only worked with Reid a short time. But what I do Know about Reid is that he was charming and always ready to flash that beautiful smile of his.Reid seem to have a wonderful sense of adventure.I guess we'll never really know why such cruel accidents happen. My heart goes out to his wife, family and all that were close to Reid. I hope all your happy memories will help to pull you thru this horrible time.

Dear Hunt family,
I met Reid and worked with him for one week this last summer. It was a joy to serve him! As a parent of a young deaf boy, I wish my son could have met him, witnessed his joy in life, and realized that being deaf is not a curse. I may never have seen him again, but he touched my life. I am deeply saddened for your loss and wish you comfort at this time.

Dear Bob Marian and Family,
We were greatly saddened to hear of Reid's accident. Your family has always been a great example to ours. Reid was a very accomplished person and had a great life. In a world of termoil and strife, the happy times we have with our family and friends always outweigh the bad. Your family will always be together forever. Even though Reid may of had certain hurdles to jump over, his life was a celebration not only for him personally but for all of us that know him and you.
Our prayers are with you. Thank you for being our friends.

Dear Hunt Family,
Reid has always been a special young man to me, and working with him was quite an adventure. He displayed a lot of spunk and energy over the years. Nothing was beyond his grasp and I know that is because of the confidence he demonstrated throughout his life. That is quite a gift to give a child, Bob and Marion.
Though I have not had much contact with Reid over the last few years, I have always heard of his accomplishments through people that know him. His spirit will always remain with those of us he touched so easily.
May God continue to bless you and the rest of your family. At least we can be comforted in the fact that this life is not the end.
Sincerely
Kathy Arthur

Dear Bob & Marian and family:
At times like these, there really are no words to express the depth of your loss. My fondest memory of Reid was as a very young child, where someone in the room was telling a story or joke and the others were laughing. Reid was a little upset because he had missed the punchline. I always admired how all the family members went to great lengths to speak and sign at the same time so that Reid would always be included in the conversation. I also remember that Reid had a stubborn streak (maybe runs in the Hunt family!)and I think this spirit of determination helped him accomplish so many things in his life. Our family will be there Saturday to give you some hugs, and I know you will need lots of support during this difficult time.
Love & Prayers,

Reid will always be remembered in the Colorado Springs community. I have had the privilege to have him as my supervisor for the past three years. I will always remember the confidence he had in me and the many encouraging words. I have known him to not be partial to any of the students despite their challenges they faced. I remember a business trip to Washington State and how he inspired those around him. He will truly be missed but his works and life will always be remembered and cherished in many hearts of those he has touched with his confidence, encouragement, etc.

Dear Hunt Family,
It is hard to believe about our dear friend Reid. We loved him.
He was such a good guy. I had so much fun when we were young – like going to his house to play and going to school. You were in our ward. You had a very good family.
I remember there was another family who had a deaf child. Reid went to their house to teach them sign language so they could communicate with their little child.
I was surprised to read that Reid had done so many things. I am sure many people looked up to him as such a good example. If I could meet your family again I would tell you how good he was and how he earned your faith in him. Remember the special times. He will remain in our hearts.

To the Hunt family, I have loved my association with all of the Hunts and remember Reid so fondly in both AP History and of course in student government. He added so much to our year. I will never forget when he wanted to conduct an assembly so he would sign and someone would interpret for him. I found it so humorous that the entire gym would be quiet as he signed and when some of the others conducted, it was hard at times to keep the student body quiet. I also remember the story told at his farewell that he came running in from Junior High one day and was so upset and something like, I don't mind not being able to hear, but mom, I am sick and tired of being short, when am I going to grow. I remember our trip to Washington D.C. together and how interested he was in the deaf university. What a treasure he was and is. Please accept my sincere regrets and know that so many of us are praying for you and your family. Don Ward

Bob, Marian, Adam, Rian and Wade,
This hurts deep. I am very sorry for the loss of Reid. What a guy! Thinking back of our childhood days, scouts, jr. jazz, soccer, baseball, etc., I can't believe that he has passed. I hope you are all staying strong. Those of us that were lucky enough to know Reid are very fortunate to have known him. I always looked up to Reid. He always made us laugh, and brought good times to a good friendship. You raised a great person that will never be forgotten by those of us who knew him.
Best wishes and know that you're all in my thoughts.
Love you guys,
Christene Jones

Dear Bob, Marian & famiy,
We were shocked and saddened to hear about Reid. Our hearts ache for your loss. We have such wonderful memories of Reid. We were reminiscing about the time, many, many years ago, when he gave a talk in church about the resurrection. He said that he was anxious for the day when he could understand why his sister liked Michael Jackson (we think maybe that will always be a mystery). Reid will always be in our hearts. He touched our lives. We love you.
Take Care,

Hunt Family,
Our hearts are full of sadness to hear of Reid's passing. Jamy and I have both reflected back on our "single" days when we would hang out with the deaf single gang every week for FHE at Murray Park. We also look back at Reid's experiences as a missionary and the things that he taught many people. We will miss Reid and his conversations VERY MUCH!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Keep the memories of Reid alive!
With lots of love!

I was so sad to hear of your brother's accident. My heart goes out to you and your family.
I have appreciated your kindness to me as I've gotten to know you through our friendship with Jenny.
I'll continue to keep you in my prayers.
