To the Family of Richard Battaglia,
My deepest condolences on your loss. I'm just now reading of Dick's passing and it saddens me. My late husband Porter was a regular customer of Dick's at his men's shop in Danville for many years. Dick's taste in clothing was impeccable and my husband purchased many pieces from him, and so did I as gifts for my husband. I always enjoyed accompanying my husband to the store, Dick was such an affable man. He and my husband were a lot alike. We moved to Arizona in 2002 and obviously lost contact but Dick was one of those unforgettable guys, and I'm sorry to hear he passed. RIP.

I first met Dick in 1978. Through those 35 years we were best friends and share a great deal with each other. Countless rounds of golf, vacations together, fun times and hard times were shared. Dick always looked on the bright side of life. He always had a wonderful sense of humor. He was always first one to help you if you needed it. His love of his daughters and grandchildren was the center of his life. No words can convey the void he has left with so many of his family and friends. Thanks Dick for all the good times and laughter we shared and the love you gave to us all. Life won't be the same without you my friend.
