Richard Fahling Obituary

Aug 27,1925 - Apr 9, 2006 Richard Henry Fahling passed away peacefully, with many loving family members at his bedside. He was born and raised in Fort Wayne IN, and spent 6 years in New York State before settling in Colorado Springs over 30 years ago. He is survived by his wife Delores Fahling, his sister Irma Souder and six children; Judith Parisot, Deborah Tews, Cynthia Fahling, Peggy Greenwalt, Susan East, Linda Cohrs, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen Fahling, his brother Raymond Fahling, his son Richard Scott Fahling and his grandson Kurt Parisot. Richard was a veteran of WWII, and fought in numerous Pacific campaigns, including the liberation of the Philippines. He was a software systems analyst, and at the time of his retirement, owned his own consulting firm. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing. He was loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at The Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4125 Constitution Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO, 80909
