We met Dick when we moved to Woodland Park years ago. We went to church together. He sang in the choir and played softball with my husband. He helped us build a shed, put in a door and any other jobs we needed help with. He skied with our kids. We played cards together. Dick led by example. We moved away but saw Dick in September and went out to dinner. One thing never changed. His love for the Lord and his family. What a wonderful man. I will miss him.

I met Richard while doing Habitat work in Woodland Park. He was so knowledgeable and helpful about the carpentry process. He also helped me, with other friends from Habitat, build my shop. I am honored to call him my friend and will truly miss him. He loved his wife and he had a saying about their marriage and the key to it "she who must be obeyed," and then he would smile and chuckle.
