God looked around His garden

And found an empty place.

He then looked down upon the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God’s garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb,

So He closed your weary eyelids

And whispered "Peace be thine".

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dick's passing. I worked with Dick for many years at the Gas Dept. He truly cared about his job and the people he worked with. Oh, how he loved it when one of us brought in a pineapple upside down cake! He was right there, Johnny on the spot. I will miss seeing him at our retiree luncheons, Gunther Toody's and Golden Corral. He was a great man.

My deepest sympathies,

I will always remember Dick as a genuine kid at heart. At all our numerous gatherings he would always bring a smile and a laugh to everyone he met. He loved life and it showed in everything he did.
He was always there with a helping hand and a smile on his face. Many could learn from his example.
We have all been truly blessed to have had the privilege of knowing him throughout our lives.

Aunt Jewel, Brian, Jeff and family,

Words cannot do justice to how saddened I am by Dick's passing. He was a wonderful man, with a great sense of humor and warm smile. His generosity knew no boundaries.
In 1999, he and Jewel gave me two quotes for his sister's (my mom's) Memorial Service, and I pass them back to you today.
"When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." I will always treasure my memories of him.
"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all." Dick, there will be tears, but I promise, smiles and laughter as well.
Can't wait to see you all in Colorado.
In closing, how many of you remember when he used to have this quote on the answering machine?: "As you slide down the bannister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction." I loved that so much I bought him a t-shirt with the saying on it. Oh did he laugh.

My heart is with you all. Hugs and all my love.

Uncle Dick, Aunt Jewel, Brian and Jeff,

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband and father. I have many fond memories of Dick and Jewel from my time in Colorado. I am so glad that I was able to get to know you all better as an adult. I will always remember Uncle Dick's smile, his laugh, his enthusiasm and his love of showing my husband Dameron and I his pinball machine. :) He will be greatly, greatly missed. He was a great man and heaven is a better place with him there.

Much love and blessings to you all.

I will never say goodbye to you my Father because I know this is not the end for us to see each other.
I will REJOICE for you for you will be with God.
For now we need to go our seperate ways.
I will remember how your arms hold me and give me strength.
You were always there to listen, love, and defend me in everything.
You were my friend.
In my triumphs you were always proud.
I am proud to call you my Dad.
Here deep inside my heart you will always be.
I would give up everything I have to just hug you you one more time.
I felt the world stop when Brian told me you were gone......
Just like rain; tears fell down from my eyes.
How I wish I was dreaming.

Thank you Dad...
For always caring, listening, understanding and loving me.

It is difficult to let you go but i must.....

I love you dad.....

I will see you in Heaven..............
