Richard Lowe Obituary

Richard Robert Lowe, "Dick" as, he was known to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5th, 2006 at the age of 75. He will be truly missed by those of us who knew and loved him. Dick was born on September 24th 1930 in Freemont Ohio, to Carl and Grace Lowe. He met his true love Beverly in 1958, got married on April 9th, 1960, and started a family. He received a degree in business at Denver University in 1968. He has been a resident of Colorado from that time on. Dick worked in car sales most of his life and made many, many friends in the business throughout his career. He spent 35 years working for Toyota here in Colorado Springs until he retired in 2000, and was very liked and respected for his interaction with the people he did business with. He was always a favorite with his coworkers, as he had a fantastic sense of humor and fun loving personality. He loved his family and his grandchildren more than anything in the world. Dick loved sports and was a huge Broncos and Nuggets fan. He loved fishing, and spending time with friends and family. Dick is survived by his wife, Beverly; his sons: Charles and Richard Lowe; daughter, Susan Weber; son in law, Pete Weber; daughter-in-law:Debra Lowe and Carla Trout; and seven grandchildren: Chelsea Lowe, Casey Lowe, Sarah Lowe, Katelyn Weber, Nathaniel Weber, Emma Weber, and Abigail Weber. He had a long battle with Parkinson's disease in the last few years of his life. He spent his final days with the caring folks at the Parkmore Village home. For anyone who knew him, he was truly one of a kind, and will always be remembered for the wonderful person he was. A Memorial Service will be held at Cappadona's Funeral Home on 1020 East Fillmore Street at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8th. Memorial donations may be made on Dick's behalf to The Michael J. Dear Susan,

Although I have not seen you or your wonderful family since high school, I send my sincere condolences to all of you. Your parents were always such wonderful people who accepted all of your friends and made us feel special. I have fond memories of watching horror movies at your house during sleep overs, making macaroni and cheese after school and jumping on your trampoline. Beverly was always playing tennis and your father loved to fish! You and your family are in my prayers.

God Bless-

Beverly, Charlie, Rich and Susie,

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Dick. I have such fond memories of living across the street from you and all of us hanging around together. I am the daughter of Leo and Phyllis Butcher and was the oldest of Phyllis's three children. My sister is Debbie Young and still lives in the house on Alta Loma and my brother is Dude (JM Young). Please accept my condolences and know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Beverly, Charlie, Rich and Susie.

I was sorry to see in the Gazette that Dick had passed away.

I am happy that I was able to grow up across the street from your family on Alta Loma Road. I was the youngest child of Leo and Phyllis Butcher. I have always went by the name of Dude, although you may know me as Jan. I was the little boy with long blonde hair across the street who was friends with Susie Lowe.

I send my heartfelt condolences and wish your family be granted serenity in the knowledge that Dick is now in a better place.

May this sad event bring your family even closer together than it was before.

Take care.
