Richard McKesson Obituary

Richard McKesson, of Dawson, MN, died March 16, 2013 at the age of 47. Memorial service March 23, 2013, 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. There will be a memorial service held at a later date in Colorado Springs, CO. Richard Walter McKesson was born May 2, 1965 at El Paso, TX the son of James and Margaret "Jane" (Graves) McKesson. Rick was married to Tamara Helgeson September 26, 1997 at Peyton, CO. He spent most of his life in Colorado Springs but moved to Dawson in 2007 to be around his children. Survived by children: Ryc and Cody McKesson and their mother Tamara; step-daughter, Larisa (Brett) Stratmoen and their children: Brock and Dane; mother, Jane McKesson of Colorado Springs, CO; father, James (Lorene) McKesson of Denver, CO; and brothers: Michael (Julie) McKesson of High Lands Ranch, CO and Steve (Britta) McKesson of Carlsbad, CA. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up at the Dawson Credit Union in Dawson, MN for the benefit of Ryc and Cody McKesson. hansondahlfuneralhome.com

Sorry for your loss. My brother was Rick's friend for many years and I would see him and chat when he was around. He would always stop and make time to talk if we passed, even pulling over to just say "Hi". Even though he was my brother's friend, he was mine too. Take care and God Bless.
