Richard Moon Obituary

Richard Carpenter Moon, 82, passed away April 23, 2010. He was born March 14, 1928 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Dorthy Hallett Moon and Dr. Barclay Jay Moon. He was married to Muriel Nease on Beruary 6, 1954, who preceded him in death on December 4, 2004. Richard is survived by four daughers; dorthy (Randy) Easton of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Nan (Ted) Rubley of Colorado Springs; Elizabeth (Paul) Chadwick of Friday Harbor, Washington; and Sara Moon of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was a beloved husband and father, a doting grandfather, and a respected friend. A memorial service will be held at the village at Skyline in the Skyline Room on April 28th at 3:00 p.m., 2365 Patriot Heights in Colorado Springs. Those who desire may make memorial contribution to: The Arc of East Central iowa Foundation, 202 7th Avenue S.E. Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52401. In memory of his predeceased grandshon, Richard Carpenter Easton.
