Richard Stafford Obituary

Richard E. Stafford passed away at the age of 91 on January 3, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on August 31, 1919 in Syracuse, New York to William Everette Stafford and Clara Lormand. Richard married the love of his life, Judith Stafford on September 5, 1964 in Las Vegas, NV. He is preceded in death by his father, William Everette Stafford; mother, Clara Lormand; siblings, Jack Stafford and Grace Stafford Saunders. He is survived by his wife, Judith Stafford; nephew, Thomas William Saunders and many close and loving friends. He was a strong man of faith that enjoyed life to the fullest. A few of his favorite things were traveling, building jig-saw puzzles, creating dog hats and scarves, and being with his pet dogs. He was a loving, caring, and nurturing person. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home from 2:00pm- 4:00pm. A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:00am at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
