Richard Talley Obituary

Richard Talley, age 82, a native of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 8, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 30, 1928, a son of the late Floyd and Lillian Talley. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1945. Richard worked and learned under his father in the refrigeration business and went on to become the owner of Talley's Refrigeration for over 60 years. He loved his children and grandchildren, stock car racing with his brother, cooking and the many pets he had throughout the years. His greatest passion was the game of golf, which up until the last couple months of his life, was out hitting balls. He is survived by his son Scott Talley of Colorado Springs and daughter, Alisa [Scharnickel] of Arlington, Washington, his sister Marguerite [Townsend] of Denver, and brother, John Talley of Colorado Springs and many other loving family members. "And finally, when we've putted out on the 18th green, we pray that we will have demonstrated the integrity of our character, so that you will judge us worthy enough to join your threesome and play eternally on your heavenly course." We will forever love and miss you but know you've found everlasting peace. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, 11:00 AM, St. George's Anglican Church.
