I took care of Richard's eyes for many years and was sorry to hear of his passing. At one of our many visits, we determined that Richard had helped me at the Air FOrce Academy with a project I was presenting at a national eye meeting. I loved the different cards featuring his AFA watercolors and have used them in correspondence for many years. I am looking to connect with a family member who might know what happened to the left-over cards that he told me had at our last visit. I have been unaboe to find them for sale at any of the Old Colorado Stores nor on the internet.

Richard was an amazing artist. He and my late father worked together as illustrators at the Air Force Academy. He was a good friend to our family. I am saddened that I am just now hearing of his passing and send my deepest condolences to his family.

It is with great sorrow that we learned of the passing of one of our founders, Richard E. Williams. He remained an active member of the Pikes Peak Watercolor Society from its inception in 1986 until this past year, attending almost every meeting and event. Dick will be missed and long remembered.

My wife and I knew Dick and Joanne only through our association with First Presbyterian Church. It was always a pleasure to greet and be greeted by each of them in the Grace of God. I also had the benefit of visiting with Dick at the YMCA where he and I would regularly talk during a work out. My wife and I have since moved to Arvada. We continue to worship at First Presbyterian Church online each Sunday. My parents lived their last years of life at the Inn at Garden Plaza. I mention all of this only to emphasize how God connects us in many ways through His Grace. I consider it a treasure to think now of Dick. We will think of Joanne, his children and all who will miss him.

I believe this is the gentleman who occupied a studio on N. Tejon into which I moved in 1974. Leonard Maccini had a business in the front of the house; Richard was very kind and a pleasure to know back in those days.
