Richard Wooge Obituary

Dick, 69, of Lemont, IL passed away February 9, 2013. He was the first child born to Albert and Hazel Wooge on May 19, 1943 in Petaluma, CA. The family eventually moved to Colorado Springs, CO where he graduated from Palmer High School in 1961 and then spent 4 years in the Marine Corp. He retired in December 2009 after over 30 years of employment with the Illinois American Water Company. He is survived by his son, Gary Wooge (Claudia) and two grandsons, daughter, Marlo Wooge, stepson, Mike Bennett, brother Ron Wooge (Carolyn), sisters, Patricia Kness (Kevin Knight) and Mary Lou Meyer (Jim), four nephews and two nieces. He had a personal relationship with God, liked reading and watching movies. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be remembered affectionately as "Uncle Dicky". A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Colorado.
