Ricky Ornelas Obituary

March 10, 1957 - December 21, 2007. When I think of my father, I think of respect, loyalty, selflessness and strength. A man with heart knowing no fear, heart with endless love, who would put his love for others far before himself. Well known and respected, whom by his character left an influential impact on many. His strength without bounds who knew his family came first, strength to stand behind his beliefs, strength to know an apology would be pointless if you were to allow that same mistake. Strength to base his life around what he knew in his heart was right. My father lived his life happy and carefree despite negative situations. He faced any obstacle with open arms - knowing he would have something positive and beneficial to look back at and laugh at - with that unbelievable unique laugh. He made it a point to share his happiness with everyone around him - close friend-new or old, family members close or distant. My dad didn't care who you were, he would probably call you "hijita" or "hijito" anyway. His happiness was in his children and grandchildren. He became the grandfather I never thought humanly possible. He left a legacy I hope I can come remotely chose to preserving. "Bros" Forever, Antonio The entire Ornelas Family would like to extend their endless thanks to each and everyone for their loving and caring support, flowers, food, cards and accompaniment, during and after. May God Bless You All.
