Bob and I worked together at South Jr. H.S. We lived together one summer in married student housing at the University of Wyoming. Someone reported two men living together to the University. Since I was the person who rented the unit I had to go and explain that Bob & I were not a married couple but colleagues. Since there was less than two weeks to do in the summer session, they let the arrangement continue with the warning to never do this again. I did not tell them that the previous summer I did the same thing with Pat Dawson. And I never enjoyed attending university courses on Ed. Administration more than those two summer. Lots of laughter went along with the coursework. Only great memories and funny stories times shared with about Bob.
I also remember when Carmen started working at South Jr. H.S. and Bob met her. Based on the comments Bob shared with me, I knew that he loved her with all his heart and it was a marriage that would last for eternity.

Bob made the job at Home Depot easier. He had such a sense of humor that made giggle a lot. I wish I would have been in Colorado to pay my respects. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Godspeed Bob

Bob was truly a special teacher. I worked with him at North Junior High School in 1986. His relationship along with the trust he built with his students, especially the at risk students was unlike any teacher I have ever been around. Because they knew how much he cared about them, they would do anything for him. We had a lot of laugh's and many conversations, and I always felt better after our conversations then before. My thoughts and prayers go out to Carmen and the family. Rest in peace my good friend.

Bob Carubia was truly a special teacher. I worked with him at North Junior High School. His relationship with his students and especially the at risk student was unlike any teacher I have ever been around. Because they knew how much he understood and cared about them, they would do anything for him. Furthermore, we had a lot of conversations, and I always felt better after those conversations then before. My thoughts and prayers go out to Carmen and the family. Rest in peace my good friend.

Carmen & family,
So surprised to read of Bob's death in the morning paper. I so enjoyed working with him at District 11. I also enjoyed him as a football dad cheering on those LP Rangers every Friday night!
Please express my heartfelt sympathy to your family. Hugs to you.
With sympathy,

Mr. Carubia was a champion for me when I was in junior high, He was a great teacher, mentor and later coworker. Thank you Mr. Carubia for seeing the potential in this Lowell/South Junior kid!
