Bob passed away at his home in Colorado Springs. He was born in Santa Monica, California.
He attended UCLA and was one of the early computer programmers trained at Systems Development Corporation. He was promoted to Program Manager in the corporation handling contracts with the Air Force satellite program. His career lasted 40 years before he retired. His interests were football (the Broncos and UCLA), the Avalanche hockey team, and playing golf, card games, and traveling. His favorite place in the world was Yosemite National Park.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Edna Clark. He is also survived by his daughters, Kristen Hailey (Casey) and Jennifer Clark. Kristen and Casey gave Bob 3 beautiful grandchildren, Caden, Evan, and Katie. He is also survived by is sister, Dorothy Winton, and several nieces and nephews: Karen, Laura, Bert, Chad, Cheri, Diana, Ricky, Sarah, Daniel, Noelle, Aimee, and Joshua.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Edward Clark and Iris (Wilson) Clark, and sister, Audrey. His father, Robert Edward Clark, was a police officer in Santa Monica.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, spoken by Pastor Richard Wheeler.
