Dear Sue, my thoughts and prayers are with you and family. Your father was an extraordinary gentleman who touched the lives of many people not only with his wisdom but also with his kindness. Carolyn

Our family grew up with the Conovers and our parents were friends. Both sets of parents resided at Village at Skyline for a time and had book discussions and enjoyed dining together. I have such fond memories of them talking about Bob´s passion for making miniature ships. Nancy was an avid reader with a sharp mind and wit.
Mark, Scott and Karen; may your dad´s and mom´s memory be a blessing and may there be laughter amongst the tears.
With love,
Carolyn and Mike Boggs and the whole Stafford family

Bob was the Chief Engineer at Timken Rock Bit where I started as a young Engineering Draftsman & worked with him for many years. He was a boss plus a good friend to me & my family. I have a lot of memories of the work we accomplished & of the personal times we shared at & away from work. LHe had a special smile & look in his eyes that I will always remember. I last saw him several years ago at the Village at Skyline fitness facility where he spent many hours on the stationary bicycle. Although I hadn't seen him for many years at the time, I immediately recognized him by that same special smile. May God bless him.

Bob was my 1st cousin and a whole generation older than me. Bob, and his brother Ken (Kenneth Alvin Conover) grew up on the farm that was established in 1822 by our Great, Great Grandfather William Conover (aka William Covenhoven). My father (Howard) also grew up on the same farm and spent a lot of time at "the farm" during Bob and Ken's early years.
When I was young and Bob was flying F-86 jet fighters, he would come to our house when possible and share stories about his Air Force life.
My cousin Bob was my idol in my early years. Although we spent little time together in our adult years, I have many fond memories that I've shared with my family. Bob, you will be missed.

There could be no better Uncle than Bob Conover. He was a father figure a mentor and a friend. I´m glad my children were able to spend time with him because he was a great example of how to be a Man. Every moment and every conversation was priceless. Semper Fidelis Uncle Bob!
