Robert "Bob" Ehle died May 7, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to the late F. Dewey and Alice T. Ehle, his early years were spent in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor, Michigan, area.
After a few years in the family electrical contracting business, in 1966 Bob and Marilyn began serving with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) in various ministry capacities in the U.S., in British Columbia, Canada, and in Bonn, Germany. For the last 17 years, he and Marilyn served with Unto, the humanitarian ministry of Cru. The joy of Bob's life was his wife Marilyn, their children and grandchildren, and ministering to people in countless countries, bringing the good news of God's love and humanitarian aid—Jesus' love in visible form—to people in physical and spiritual need.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn, son Rob and daughter-in-law Geri, daughter Renée, son Randy and daughter-in-law Eiley, and four grandchildren: Isaac Ehle, and Morgan, Molly and Megan Ehle. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Curtis and brother-in-law Dick Curtis of Michigan, nieces Kay Spadafore and Caren Secord, nephew Rich Curtis, and many extended family members. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his son Rick.
A memorial service will be held this summer when family can gather to remember this man's remarkable life adventure. His son Rob describes his dad this way: "(He) never met a stranger, never stopped believing God was that person's best friend."
