Robert Emory Obituary

Bob died peacefully in his sleep at home. He was born on October 5, 1922 in East St. Louis, Illinois to William and Florence Emory. He graduated from Parks Air College and then went on to Columbia University Midshipman School officer training where he graduated and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy. He served aboard the USS Wichita during World War II. Bob worked as an aeronautical engineer in the defense industry. He moved to California in 1960 where he met and married Bonnie Bramhall in 1963. He lived there until retiring to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1992 and later moved to Colorado Springs to be near his children and grandchildren. Bob loved boating, playing tennis, aviation, traveling, and visiting with his friends and family. While living in California Bob enjoyed dancing and he and Bonnie frequented the Moose Lodge. Bob is survived by his wife Bonnie of 46 years; daughter Susan Sherrill (Paul), son Jim Emory (Jennifer) all of Colorado Springs; stepsons Gary and Rick (Diana) Bramhall of California; grandchildren Christopher, Megan, Robbie, Summer, Ryan and Heather; niece Pam Byman and her family from Bandera, Texas. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Avery. Bob will be missed and never forgotten by his family and friends and all the wonderful memories of the good times we all had together.
