Robert James Fenton passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, and was formerly a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a retired Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of Phil Long Dealerships and a military veteran.
Robert was born to Telford A. and Margaret Helen Louise (Atkinson) Fenton in the city of Long Beach, California. On March 10, 1967, he married Beverly Sue Standlee in Springfield, Missouri. He went on to become a graduate of Missouri State University and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Bob loved his family and spent his life in service of their welfare and happiness. Most recently, he found great joy in being a grandfather, investing an enormous amount of time and love doting on his dearest Luke and Logan. He also cared deeply for the larger community around him. He was a long-standing member of The Church at Woodmoor and helped organize many charitable drives and organizations such as La Puente Home in Alamosa, Colorado and Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in Colorado Springs. He was also very fond of golf, which he played several times a week at top speed in an array of weather conditions. He also enjoyed collecting classic sports cars, fishing, and playing poker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Sue Fenton; his sons: James Jay, Michael Patrick and Jeffrey Alan; his sister, Arleen Benner; and his grandchildren: Lucas David and Logan Robert.
No visitation will be held, and funeral services will take place at a future date to be determined at Berryville, Arkansas Cemetery.
