Robert Harrison Obituary

Robert Rinker Harrison, 82, of 850 John B. White Sr. Blvd., died Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 12, 1923, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Fred B. and Anna Rinker Harrison. A graduate of Purdue University, he was a retired mechanical engineer with Baxter Laboratories, Pharmaceutical Division, in Skokie, IL. He was a member of Reidville Road United Methodist Church and a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II where he served as a fighter pilot. Survivors include his wife, Freda Eberspacher Harrison; two daughters, Patricia Kallaus and her husband Don of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kathy Butler and her husband Steve of Spartanburg, SC; a son, Robert R. Harrison, II and his wife Nancy of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, Stacy Trapp, Jill Rhoden, David Butler, Shawn Harrison, Jenna Harrison, and Jamie Harrison; and a great-granddaughter, Arabella Rhoden. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006, at Reidville Road United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Charles H. Graves. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reidville Road United Methodist Church, 5575 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.
