Robert Hartley Obituary

Robert F. Hartley, 94, of Colorado Springs, passed away on January 16 at the Avista Hospital in Louisville, CO. Robert was born in Henry, Illinois on April 23, 1914 to Franklin and Bertha (Simon) Hartley. On November 3, 1940, Robert married Clara Akers and together had one daughter, Mary Jane. Robert was a retired meat marketmanager for Miller's. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Boyd (Dean); one granddaughter, Adrienne Boyd; as well as several nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and his beloved wife, Clara. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Blunt Mortuary 2229 W. Colorado Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Central United Methodist Church 4373 Galley Road Colorado Springs. Internment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army and Acacia senior meal programs through Blunt Mortuary.
