Although you go on in another life and in our hearts, there is a silence in mine. I will always hold you so close by and hope you know how much you meant to all of us. I love you dear Dad.

Bob was just a really good guy and I liked him a lot. I am shocked and very sorry to hear of his sudden passing. My condolences to his whole family.

Bob has been one of my closest friends and associates for most of our lives. One of the reasons I kept coming back to Colorado Springs after moving to Miami was to engage in stimulating conversations on current events with him. It is hard to find folks as well informed (and opinionated) as he was. Our discussions always reminded me of our debates at the Delta Phi Epsilon frat house while we were it Georgetown in the 1960's. At the 50th reunion of our graduating class earlier this month I was bombarded with questions about "Brother Hill". It is comforting to know that I was able to pass along to Bob greetings from his many friends, extending from college through the years, in our last conversation just before he passed away.

With Bob's passing, I have lost a close friend and associate of over half a centrury. For two wonderful years (1958 - 1960), we were classmates at the Munich Branch of the University of Maryland where we were both active in student government and campus activities. Those were years never to be forgotten with with studying, skiing, travelling and generally enjoying the experiences of being college students in the cultures of Europe. In the intervening years Bob and I have kept in close contact with each other and with others from those early Munich years. We've enjoyed visits and frequent calls, sharing our business, family and other experiences. I shall miss our philosophizing, reminiscing and just hanging out together. I'm a better person for having known Bob. Keena joins me in expressing our feeling of loss and sympathy to the family and all others who will miss him.

Every morning Bob used to say: "Think a good thought before you get out of bed this morning". Bob enjoyed each day, and he loved "his trip here on planet earth". We miss you Bob, you left a hole here in the planet when you left, though.
