Bob went to be with the Lord March 27, 2022 peaceably with family by his side. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Born and raised by Ira and Ethel, Bob was one the few natives of Colorado Springs. Bob was a mechanic for fifty years and the owner of Ira's Garage for forty-five years following the death of his father. He retired in 1999. The garage is still open for business and is operated by his son.
Bob was a member of the Knob Hill Lion's club and an avid tennis player at the CSRC. He was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and viewing any sporting event. Bob enjoyed playing horseshoes, the outdoors, and hunting with his sons when they were young. He was never one to turn down an ice cream sundae topped with crackers.
Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Shephard.
He leaves his loving wife, Sue Hofer, of sixty-two years; sons, Glea (Linda) Hofer and Ray (Deanna) Hofer; daughters, Carina (Bill) McBride and Monica (Greg) Miranda; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Our sincere thoughts and prayers for Sue and the entire Hofer Family on your loss. Bob will be sorely missed by us and his many friends. We remember the many days spent we spent together at athletic events with you all, when Glea and Ray, and Mick and Ron were playing together.
May God bless you all through these most difficult of times. All the great memories, you have will help to ease the pain and sorrow.
