Robert Jackson Obituary

Robert Terrence Jackson, 54, passed away on June 27, 2007 in Colorado Springs, his residence for 30 years. Terry was born October 22, 1952 to Robert and Anne Jackson in Fort Scott, Kansas. Terry was an alumnus of Topeka High (1970), Kansas State University (1974), and Washburn University Law School (1976). On May 25, 1974, Terry married Nancy Carlson in Chanute, Kansas, and together they had one child, Timothy. Terry was Assistant to the President and General Counsel for the Christian Booksellers Association, and served on the Boards of several organizations including: Pikes Peak Council: Boy Scouts of America, OC International, Mission Training International, Pulpit Rock Church, and Fellowship Bible Church. He participated in the Center for Creative Leadership. Terry earned the rank of Eagle Scout, was elected to the Order of the Arrow, received the Silver Beaver Award, and was a member of Woodbadge. Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy; son Timothy; mother Anne; three brothers: Tom, Kevin and John Jackson; two sisters: Mary Anne Jackson and Carolyn Akins; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2007 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church (4050 Nonchalant Circle South) in Colorado Springs. A private burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
