Robert Jerome Jeray, 91 years old, beloved husband of Carole Restle-Jeray, was born to eternal life on Monday July 18, 2022 in Colorado Springs, CO, following complications from colon surgery.
Robert Jeray was born on October 31, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the beloved son of the late Max and Rose (Sedmak) Jeray and brother to his dear sister Maxine Higgins of Illinois. He was father to five wonderful children: Jeanne (Peter, deceased) Brush, Cynthia (Troy) Halverson, Susan Jeray, Karen (George) Kosier, and Gregg Jeray, as well as grandfather to seven much loved grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Robert worked for AT&T for over thirty years in the Milwaukee area. He was proud of his service as a Marine in the Korean War.
In 1995, Robert, now retired, remarried and moved to Colorado with his bride Carole Restle-Jeray. They spent twenty-seven delightful, loving years in their mountain home in Florissant, CO.
He was a wonderful stepfather to Michael (Lora) Restle, Kathleen (Karl) Schwarzler, Timothy (Diane) Restle, Nancy Borneman, Daniel (Carol) Restle, Beth (David) Phillips, Suzanne (Joseph Mierwa) Restle, Eileen Harris, and Christopher (JJ) Restle. He had many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him and never thought of him as anything other than "Grandpa Bob".
Although Bob left his birthplace of Wisconsin, he was a lifelong superfan of the Green Bay Packers, and we are quite sure that during football season he will enjoy prime viewing from above, as he cheers his team on to victory!
He will be greatly missed by all. Viewing and Rosary will be held from 4 - 7 pm on Monday, July 25th and the wake service will be at 6 pm at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home, Divide, CO.Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 1 pm at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church, Woodland Park, CO.
