Robert Lee Obituary

Robert "Bob" Michael Lee, passed away peacefully at his home in Katy, TX, on January 30, 2017. He was born to Elwin Lee and Patricia Snider, September 11, 1953, at Camp Lejeune, NC. Bob graduated from Graham High School in 1972. He married Debbie (Williams) Lee in March of 1977.

Bob worked in construction for many years before joining the U.S. Army in 1984. He was a decorated soldier who retired at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, CO. He later found his passion for helping others as a mental health counselor working with children and adolescents before returning to Ft. Carson to work with soldiers' pre and post deployment.

Bob truly enjoyed the outdoors, from gardening to hiking Pikes Peak. He loved his dog, Jake. Bob was well-known for making people laugh and his finest quality was being a good listener. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. His greatest joys in life were his sons and grandchildren. Bob never gave up his brave and courageous fight against liver disease. He lived four glorious years following his transplant at University of Colorado Hospital.

Left to cherish Bob's memory is his wife, Debbie Lee of nearly 40 years; sons, Dr. Bryan Lee (Megan Neary), Greensburg, PA, Dustin (Jennifer) Lee, Katy, TX; grandchildren Madelyn and Denver Lee, Katy, TX; sisters Susan (Larry) Spitzmiller, Lexington, KY, Vickie Evilsizor, Piqua, OH, Pam Campbell and Scott Ridenour, Piqua, OH; step-sisters Christina (Dave) Blosser, Spring Hill, FL, Beverly Snider, Troy, OH, Annette (Steve) Wesco, Covington, OH; mother-in-law Juanita Williams; brother-in-law Barry (Cindy)Williams, Charlie Williams, and Patrick (Lisa)Williams. Bob also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles Williams in 2001 and brother-in-law, Michael Williams in 2006.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 4pm-8pm on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Troy Country Club, 1830 Peters Rd, Troy, OH 45373. A private Military Honors Ceremony will be held in Dayton, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to University of Colorado Hospital, MD Anderson Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.

Our deepest sympathy to you Deb and to all his family. I had the privilege of working with Bob. He touched soldiers and brought healing and laugher to all of us at Ft Carson. I remember many happy times and many long hours. May he rest in peace.
