Jake passed away on October 9, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born to Darla and Rory "Rusty" Minnich on July 24, 1987 in Arlington, Virginia.
At the age of 5, he and his family relocated to Colorado Springs where he would grow to embrace the Colorado lifestyle. He graduated from Rampart High School with honors and a heart for leadership and entrepreneurship that carried him throughout the rest of his life. Following high school Jake attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and the University of Colorado at Denver to pursue a degree in finance and accounting.
Jake was always forward thinking, a whiz with numbers and had a sharp mind for business. Despite being very analytical he had a beautiful, charismatic, fun-loving personality. He was a determined and driven person with a contagious smile.
Jake could always be found planning his next adventure, whether he was following news and politics, the latest country music release, cooking & eating healthy, or working out. His spontaneity and savvy travel skills allowed him to live and experience more in his 35 years of life than most people do in ninety. In one trip, he even circumnavigated the globe. Jake had a passion for gourmet cooking - a hobby he enjoyed sharing to the delight of his family and friends. He was an avid skier and felt most happy in the mountains.
Jake will always live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. We will remember and try to emulate Jake's determination when pursuing our goals, his spontaneity and energy in seizing all the good that this life has to offer, and his selfless heart when caring for those he loved.
He is survived by his mother Darla Nowosatko, grandmother DonnaMarie Edwards-Armstrong, his father Rory (Andrea) Minnich, siblings Jaquelynn Tramble, Madeleine Costa, Colton Minnich, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on October 28, 2022 at 1:00pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
