Robert Mooney Obituary

Robert A. Mooney January 18, 1930 - May 29, 2007. Bob Mooney passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley. His three sons; Dennis (Debbie) of Colorado Springs, Robert Jr. of Tempe, Michael (Barbara) of Vail, grandson Dylan of Colorado Springs, sister Claire of Trinidad, and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents William and Josephine, sisters Mary Alice and Ann, brothers Frank and Joe. Bob married Shirley on December 18, 1954. After leaving the United States Marines in 1953, Bob started Milne & Mooney Meat Co. in Pueblo CO. In 1960 Bob and Shirley moved the family to Colorado Springs, and opened AAA Meat Co., for the next 20 years. Upon retiring Bob and Shirley lived in San Diego CA., Vail CO., and Denver CO. Bob's strength lives on in all that he touched. For if you ever had the opportunity to shake his hand, you know exactly what I mean. Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday June 4, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Church, 2030 W Colorado Avenue Colorado Springs. Reception to follow.
