ROBERT "BOB" E. MULVANEY
1933 - 2020
Robert (Bob) E. Mulvaney, 87, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on December 29, 2020, at Penrose Hospital.
He was born to parents James and Agnes Mulvaney in 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Bob graduated from Custer High School where he was a member of the gymnastics team.
As a young man, Bob joined the United States Army and served his country for thirty-one years, seeing action in Korea and Vietnam - where he earned two Purple Hearts - and retired with the rank of Sergeant Major.
He is survived by his former wife, Janet Mulvaney, nee Janke, and by his sons Lance and Kyrre, his daughter Stacey Bogardus (Jami Sloan), five amazing grandchildren, several beautiful nieces and by his loving friend, Joan Garrett. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Carol and Georgeanne, his brother Jim and his remarkable son, Troy Mulvaney.
Before his Army days, Bob enjoyed tearing up dirt racetracks around Wisconsin in stock cars that he and his buddies cobbled together in their backyards. More recently, he was well known for his love of golf and was an avid Broncos fan.
A memorial service will be held in Wisconsin at a date yet to be determined.

You were my favorite Uncle! So many great memories with you U.B. with visits to Colorado, you "nick-naming" my back-yard, to our texts and shared emails. I'm going to miss you so very much.

The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
