It is with heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our beloved father, husband and friend. Robert was the youngest of five siblings born to David and Lydia Oyer in Pioneer, Ohio. He spent his childhood on the family farm. After graduating high school, Bob served in the army and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. After an honorable discharge he became the owner of a local men's clothing store in his hometown. He also worked in the transportation industry. Bob married Judith Maureen Ackerman in August 1964. They had two children, Kurt Robert in 1966 and Kristen Renée in 1969. Bob was proceeded in death by his wife, Judith in 2014 and his son Kurt in 2018. In October 2019 Bob married Jane Rothwell in Colorado Springs. Bob is survived by his wife, Jane, daughter Kristen Kercher, son-in-law Todd Kercher, granddaughters Camryn, McKenna and Emerson. He is also survived by his brother Vernon. A memorial service will be held November 25, 2024 at first Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou St. at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church. Bob was a kind, gentle man with a strong faith in his savior. He will be missed.
