Robert Reeverts Obituary

Bob Reeverts is a wonderful gift from God. The early beginnings of his faith journey go back to his childhood, and especially to his teenage years, when he came under the influence of Young Life while in high school in Knoxville, TN. After graduation from college (U. of Tennessee) and Fuller Theological Seminary, in 1961 Bob joined the Young Life staff. He is one of those legendary persons who modeled the purposes of the Young Life mission for the future years of ministry. The culminating role of leadership for Bob was to head up the International Ministries for Young Life. This was his passion and calling - to reach out to a world of young people in need. This passion continued until a few days ago when Jesus brought him into His eternal presence, most certainly thanking him for his faithful service. Bob is survived by his wife, Ann, who has shared significantly in this 50 year journey of love and faith. He leaves his son Mark Reeverts and daughter Michel Reeverts, grandsons, Noah Reeverts and Truece Reeverts Gann, brothers Don and Paul Reeverts and his sister Elaine Duval. In this hour, spread out in the U.S. and around the globe, are hundred of believers, followers of Christ, who would wish to join Jesus in saying, "Thank you," to this extraordinary servant of God. To God be the glory! A Celebration of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday, November 8, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Colorado Springs.
