Robert Rice Obituary

Robert E. Rice, 78, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, on February 4th, 1937. He was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling the country in his RV.



Bob worked for Nob Hill Body Shop and Carlin Dodge before becoming an insurance adjuster with Farmers Insurance Company.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife Glenda J. Rice, loving children; Bobby and Wendy Allen, Jack Allen all of Colorado Springs, sister; Charlotte Lorimor, grandchildren; Josh, Cory, Shay-Lee Allen, Bobby Jr and David Rice. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert K. Rice.

Visitation will take place Saturday, March 14th 2015, at 10:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 846 E Pikes Peak.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 5526 N Academy Blvd or Immanuel Lutheran Memorial Fund.

Bob Rice was my supervisor from 1990 through his retirement from the FDA Regulations Policy and Management Staff. I am deeply saddened by his passing. He was a fine man and superb to work for. Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers.
