Robert Schroeder Obituary

Robert Harry Schroeder, 78, passed away on April 21, 2007 in Cotopaxi, CO. Robert was born on October 2, 1928 in Colorado Springs, CO to Henry and Emily (Meyers) Schroeder. He worked for Meadow Gold Dairy for over 25 years; then was employed for 17 years as Town Supervisor for Palmer Lake, as well as a volunteer fireman for over 30 years. He has lived in Cotopaxi for 13 years; he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his wife, Diane of Cotopaxi; five children, Sandra (John) Ehlert of Dallas, TX, Robert Allen Schroeder of Palmer Lake, CO, Dana (Brad) Yeomans of Kalispell, MT, Cathy (Arnold) Lucero of Cotopaxi, CO, and Tim (Mylinh) Hughes of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren, Peter Hughes, Michael Lucero, James Lucero, Sarah Lucero, Emily Lucero, and Kaitlyn Huffman; and one sister, Ruth Bell of Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Beulah Lavelett Schroeder; and siblings, Jean Scheele, Lou Hiatt, Lil Kerns, Bill Schroeder, and Margaret Ann Schroeder. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Evergreen Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, CO. Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Memorial Gardens Chapel in Colorado Springs, with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Canon City, 110 S. Rhoades Ave., Canon City, CO 81212, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
