Robert Severs Obituary

Robert W. (Bob) Severs of Colorado Springs passed away on April 9, 2015. He was 83. Bob is survived by his brother Richard Severs (Azelia) of Macomb, Illinois; daughters Dayna Severs of Aurora, Colorado and Clare Lewis (Joe) of Denver; and son Scott Severs (Julie Bartlett) of Longmont, Colorado.

Bob was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, July 19, 1931, to Floyd and Edna Severs. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949 and attended the University of Nebraska. He spent two years at Fort Carson in the early 1950's as a first lieutenant.

Bob received his Master's Degree in Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He then worked in the offices of Eero Saarinen in Royal Oak. In 1961, Bob moved with his family to Colorado Springs where he opened his own office of design and construction.

Bob enjoyed classical music, walking his dogs, camping, golf, and his family. Bob self-published two books: "Holy Spirit Speaks" and "The Wisdom of Holy Spirit."

Blessings to bob's children. I last saw bob many years ago at my parents home in Lincoln. Bob and my dad max Pennington were first cousins. I have great memories of bobs parents and frequent visits to their home as I was growing up.
